I may need to go from Radda to Florence on a Sunday morning. I will have a car but I'm worried after reading about difficulties in Florence. Can I drive to a bus or train station close to Florence?
There is nothing to worry about driving to Florence, especially on a Sunday.
Besides, Bus service is very limited to non existent on Sunday.
Just drive and park at the Oltrarno parking lot at the Porta Romana city gate.
From there walk to wherever you need to go.

ZTL rules are relaxed on Sunday and the centre is freely accessible. Just pay attention not to drive on lanes reserved to buses as this limitation is enforced also on Sunday. (In real life, just pay attention, if you are entering Florence from the Siena motorway, not to drive through via Senese but through via del Gelsomino and viale del Poggio Imperiale - it is your only chance to get a fine on Sunday. When exiting Florence, you can drive both ways.)
Thanks to both of you. This is very helpful and a great relief for me.
#365 bus from Florence thru Chianti extends to Radda a few times per day.
Or, perhaps park and ride from Greve.
I have taken this bus a number of times and it is a beautiful ride.

Thanks for the information; I didn't know about that bus. I will check the schedules.
Unfortunately Sunday service is very limited.
That is good to know. Well, evidently driving on Sunday is OK so I'll just do it. And I may well use the bus on another day. Thanks again.
