I have friends who are renting a villa near the village of Radda, Italy. I would prefer to say in a hotel or B&B. If anyone has stayed in Radda, what hotel or B&B might you recommend? How is the transportation? I will be coming from Paris, what might be the best way to get to Radda using the train? Any information that you have will be appreciated.
Not sure if a train goes to Radda.
It's very small. I would suggest you take a train to Florence. Rent a car and drive to Radda. You might check to see if the Sitka Bus goes to Radda. We took a train from Venice to Florence, took a Cab to the airport and picked up a rental car and then drove south through the Chianti Country and passed through Radda.
We went in March and at that time everything was closed in Radda. I understand the summer time is more vibrant.
No train on the Chianti hills. Whether you stay at an Agriturismo or at a B&B in the town, a rental car is almost de rigour. There is a bus that serves the area, but it's not that frequent. Rent the car when you land and drive to the place.
