R/T From Sorrento: Amalfi, Ravello, Path of Lemons

Hi all! I have a question about a day we are planning on the AC. We are booked to arrive at Naples airport mid-April, early morning, from the US.
Here's our itinerary. I need help with the logistics of Day 2:

Day 1: Settle in at our B&B in Sorrento. Casual day in Sorrento and do our best to stay awake as we adjust to the time change.
Day 2: Go to Amalfi, Ravello and walk the Path of the Lemons. I need suggestions of what order to do these in and what mode of transport to use to get from Sorrento to each of these and back to Sorrento in the evening.
Day 3: Tour boat booked to Capri (7:30-3:30)
Day 4: Train to Pompeii. RS audio walking tour.
Day 5: Pick up rental car at 9am & head out to our next destination, in Tuscany....

Thank you for your help with the transportation logistics for day 2. I appreciate the time you take to help :)

I can't address your Day 2 question, but on Day 4, I think one of the reasons people like to stay in Sorrento is that you can hop on the Circumvesuviana train (not a fancy type of transportation, to be sure) and get to Pompeii easily. What sort of bus are you thinking of taking?

@acraven: We plan to take the train to Pompeii. I'm not sure how to find 'the Circumvesuviana train', but according to Rome to Rio, we can take train Line 1, which is 15 minute walk from our B&B. The name of the company appears to be Ente Autonomo Volturno S.r.l. (EAV). Where is the trainline you mentioned? How is it different? Thanks, Patty

I'm pretty sure there is only one "train" from Sorrento, the circumvesuviana. The EAV might be the company, but no one calls it that. They were suggesting the normal commuter train into/out of Sorrento versus the "bus" you were planning on taking.

@acraven & @Katherine: I meant train, not bus. I corrected that on the original post. Thanks :)

There is only one train in Sorrento-Circumvesuviana
Be sure to buy your RT tix at the station in Sorrento and don’t forget to validate!

The bus station is right in front of train station

To get to Amalfi i would take the ferry
Then bus up to Ravello
The bus stops in Amalfi are all in large parking lot right next to ferry docks
Buy your RT bus ticket at the tabac that is right there

To return to Sorrento you have a choice of bus or ferry
