"Italy Shore"? Is there one like dat joyzee shaw?

I know a lot about the NJ coastline, 99% of which bears no resemblance to "duh joyzee shaw" But there is that certain area that is, well, it really is duh joyzee shaw. So is there an area in Italy where Italians expect to find Italy's counterparts, pari pasu, to what Americans expect to find down duh shaw?

Most people in New Jersey refer to the Jersey Shore as the Jersey Shore, not "duh joyzee shaw." Careful with the stereotypes, please.
