Quiet town near Malpensa Airport for recovering from jetlag

I'll be flying into Milan in September 2020 for a 2 week tour with my church choir. Does anybody have suggestions for a laid-back town within 2 or 3 hours of Malpensa International Airport? Cremona, Pavia, and Como are on my short list, but I'm open to suggestions. I'd like a place where I could walk from the train station to my lodging, and to the town center.

I should have said "laid-back town within 2 or 3 hours by train from Malpensa"

I’d suggest going to Stresa on Lake Maggiore.

You can take the Alibus directly from Malpensa to Stresa (one hour journey time) Make sure you reserve the Alibus in advance.

Lago Maggiore is a beautiful place to get over jet lag, IMO.

You may also consider going to Varenna on Lake Como. This will involve two trains; the Malpensa Express to Milano Centrale, then you’ll transfer to a Regional train to Varenna- Esino

Enjoy your trip!

We took the train from Malpensa to Parma one year and enjoyed 3 nights there. Pretty, walkable town with great food and several interesting churches, etc.

Where does your tour start? That would make a difference to me about which town to choose.
