Has anyone had a quiet vacation on the Italian coast near Genova, Manfredonia or Rimini? We have already visited Cinque Terre on a Rick Steves Tour.

I am currently living in Mattinata which is just North of Manfredonia. The beaches around Manfredonia are very busy and not quiet during July and August. For a small town feel you might want to check out Mattinata. Both towns are located on the Gargano Peninsula. Not much tourism or English spoken in this area. Lots of olive groves and vinyards.

We are going to go to the coast before or after the Rome Tour next year. This year their Rome tour was at the end of Sept. so I assume that it will be around the same time. I will enjoy your thoughts and ideas. jim
