hi
I am in milan for 2 days on july 8-10 (then off to venice). I really just plan on seeing the duomo, galleria and last supper.
This is my question, I was going to see the last supper on friday, july 9 and because of a transportation strike announced today, the last supper was closed so I was able to move it to 6pm July 8th.
I am now wondering that if I land at 9am on July 8th and wondering is it worth the 1+hour drive up to como (or perhaps another town?) for a few hours, as I have a rental car,for lunch and then make it back for the last supper at 515pm on July 8th?
or
try to hit the Duomo and Galleria on July 8th with the last supper and go to como on July 9th (then unfortunately back to milan as I prepaid my hotel) or
not go to the como or lakes and stay in milan, despite the transportation strike
Never driven in this area and not sure how realistic I am.
thanks
