Quick question about Colosseum tour timing

We booked the Spanish-language tour of the underground and Belvedere, but for the sake of my non-Spanish-speaking husband and kids, I was going to also book the 5 Euro guided tour in case he felt like he wanted more info. (And for 5 Euro, we won't feel bad skipping it if we're Colosseum-ed out by then.)

The Spanish combo tour is at 10:45 a.m. and is 90 minutes long. There are English guided tours available at 12:15 (exactly 90 minutes later) or at 1:30 (leaving a 75-minute gap). Would you call it close timing-wise, or go with the huge gap? Thanks!

I would go for the gap. If your underground tour runs long, which they can, you will miss the other tour. You can spend that time going to the rest room or browsing the book store.

Thanks Donna! On that note -- since we can't leave and re-enter -- is there anywhere to get snacks/water during that break? (Are we allowed to bring in snacks?)
