I'm wondering about accommodations for 2-3 nights ending July 19th in Venice. It all looks very expensive! Airbnb and hotels. Are there any other less expensive options that are still safe. I was hoping for $100/ night.
Also, I'm hoping to take Ryan Air from Venice Treviso. Is that close to Venice itself? The flight I want leaves at 8:50 and I want to make sure that we can make it.
Thank you! Collette
The fastest bus service between Treviso Airport and the edge of Venice (Tronchetto parking lot) is the www.barziservice.com bus, 40 minutes. More frequent but slower buses are operated by www.atvo.it to Piazzale Roma. See also www.trevisoairport.it.
Are you looking for a single room? They do exist for $100/night, particularly if you're willing to share a bathroom. Try www.locandasilva.it.
Treviso airport is about 25 km (15 miles) from Venice, but there is good bus service. Venice is expensive, but worth it. An alternative is to stay in Mestre and take the train or bus into town everyday. Not ideal, but you have to make that decision based on your budget.
