We will be driving from Rome to Matera, stopping along the way to visit the museum in Naples, Pompeii (or Herculaneum?) and Paestum. We'll probably stay in Sorrento for a night - should we go directly to Sorrento and make our way back to Naples, or it is easy to go directly to the museum? Is Maratea interesting? Any other bits of wisdom on this part of our trip welcome!
