Has anyone experienced the 7:45 AM “Pristine Sistine” tour offered by Walks of Italy? If so, what was your experience and how were the crowds?
We currently have a 7:15 AM tour booked, but I want to switch the date of the tour, and the only time available on the new date is 7:45. I know it’s only a 30 minute difference, but I’m wondering if we’d regret not taking the earlier spot if the crowds are significantly larger with the later spot.

The Vatican museum now opens 8:00 am and no longer offers “early entry” to tour groups. I called Walks of Italy a few weeks to ask about early entry because we were considering this exact tour for June and was told by Walks of Italy the group enters the museum at 8:00 am opening time like everyone else. If the tour starts before 8:00, the group is gathered outside while the guide talks about the exterior and what to expect when you get inside. I would assume that the 7:15 am group enters at 8:00 and the 7:45 am tour enters at 8:30, but you may want to contact Walks of Italy to ask. We decided to skip the tour and will buy 8:00 am entry tickets without a tour directly from the Vatican museum when they come available since we are only interested in the Sistine Chapel. Our plan is to head there immediately when we get into the museum.
