Question of Amalfi Coast 4 nights stay in July

We are planning to visit Amalfi Coast(total 4 nights) include Positano, Praiano, Amalfi, Revello and Capri in July. Now we are thinking to stay at Sorrento for 3 nights as base, and one night at Capri or stay at Amalfi for 4 nights as an alternate. We will go to Naples for one night and fly back home next day early morning the last day. If we stay at Amalfi, how to go to Naples by ferry or train?
Thanks!!

I would personally hire a driver to take you to these cities. We used angelodriver.com several years ago. His driver took us from our hotel in Sorrento, along the Amalfi coast and then back to our hotel in Positano. We stopped in Amalfi and Ravello. There are the SITA buses but I believe they don't go as far as Sorrento.

Thanks Deidre!
We are also thinking to stay at Amalfi 4 nights for alternate.
Any accommodation experience for staying at Amalfi?

Yes, you can certainly hire a driver but it's also the most expensive way to go. If willing to give up Praiano, there is also a very nice, very reasonably priced Mondo "Amalfi Coast full day from Sorrento" small-group tour that covers Positano, Amalfi and Ravello that you might look at? These tours have seen high praise from RS posters whom have taken them. If interested, I wouldn't wait to get your names on the tour list for the date you want.

Just to note, Sorrento is indeed serviced by SITA bus; I'm sure this schedule will be updated for 2020 very soon:

Buses will be very crowded and very busy in July.

You do have to change buses in Amalfi to go to Ravello.

For Capri, of course, you'll be taking a ferry, and you could also take a ferry from Capri to Naples (take a cab to your hotel from the port). The Circumvesuviana Campania Express train will also be running from Sorrento to Naples during the summer. Schedules are not up for 202O summer ferries or Campania Express yet:

If your sightseeing plans revolve around Amalfi Coast towns, you really should just stay on the coast. It will be worth the extra expense for the convenience and time saved versus day tripping to and from Sorrento everyday. You’ll also be able to explore these places before the tourist hordes arrive. Especially in high season, this will make a huge difference in your ability to enjoy the place, and see towns that are a little harder to get to. Going from Sorrento to Ravello and back in a day would be tough. Amalfi is the big transportation hub, and you can get anywhere from there (particularly Capri) easily. Again, based on your interests, Salerno would even be kind of a better option than Sorrento if accommodations are hard to come by.

Thanks awrzesinski! Stay at Amalfi will be ideal. Now try to find a accommodation at Amalfi.

The easiest way to reach Salerno Pz. Concordia
Is a direct train from Rome 2:15m. Then walk down to the ferry dock, about a block and 1/2and take the ferry to Amalfi 50 minutes.
