Question for Ischia Lovers!

My husband, myself and 19 yo daughter will be visiting Ischia for the first time from July 19 - July 23 (4 nights.) I've narrowed down my choice of accommodation to 2, but I can't decide which I prefer. While we are there, some of the things we plan to do are: a day at Nagombo Spa/Beach; Visit the Mortella Botanical Garden; Stroll around Forio town; Visit Casle Arongonase; and maybe go to Ristorante Emanuel (Fumerole style) to have our food cooked under the sand. Accomodation # 1 (Relais Bijou) is a hotel with sea views, a small pool, and outdoor areas that look very pleasant. It's located in Ischia Porto. It has fantastic reviews. I like that is has nice outdoor spaces to relax; what I don't like is that the rooms look a bit worn/not terribly attractive. Accommodation #2 (B&B Marina Garden) has no outdoor spaces or pool or views; however, it is much newer/more attractive inside AND it's around the corner from Forio town (which I think would be nice to explore.) It's also closer to Nagombo Spa, Mortella gardens. We hope to use the bus to get around, since I hear the traffic around the island and limited parking would not make renting a car optimal. I can't decide which location/accomodation we would enjoy most. I don't know if we need the resort style/pool of the first facility or should we go with the facility on the doorstep of pretty Forio? Anyone have an opinion?

Certainly no expert but I can share that my husband and I stayed in Forio this past August and really loved it. I know many folks recommend Porto, but we found Forio the perfect pace for us. We stayed at Hotel Nettuno which could be worth looking at--only downside was there is no outdoor pool, but the rooms are lovely and a good size and the balconies have a gorgeous view over the bay with amazing sunsets!
