Trying to find a hotel in Montepulciano. There is a hotel called Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala that is offering 40% off of the rooms. This seems too good to be true. Just wondering if anyone knows why there is such a reduced rate??? I’m thinking there must be a major renovation happening. Any help would be appreciated. It gets very high reviews on booking.com.

They don't advertise it under "offers" on their website or anywhere else on the site that I can see but I could be missing it.

....and what website you are seeing the reduction on. Maybe it is the website rather than the hotel that is suspect.

That's what I meant, Maria; a link to whichever website he's seeing this offer on 'cause it doesn't appear on the hotel's (near as I can tell).

Well Booking.com is legit-
It is a 48 hour special deal.
I'd grab it- be sure to read all the info on cancelation etc.

The reviews are great but I noticed there are no reviews that I could find after November 2024. Makes me wonder if something is happening there.

Assuming you mean Nov 2023- they may have been closed for the winter

Just for kicks, if you haven't done it already I'd see what rate the hotel's own website might give you.
