Hey All - our intent is to travel from Matera to Ravello to get to our next hotel. We will be taking the bus or train to get from Matera to Salerno and then hoping to take the Sita bus along the Amalfi coast. I am not seeing that the main bus line continues into Ravello, is this correct? It seems as if we will have to take one bus from Salerno to Amalfi and then get on another bus from Amalfi to Ravello. Can anyone please confirm? Just trying to figure out logistics for our June trip. thanks!
Correct--there is a bus "depot" (using the term loosely, it's just a parking lot) in Amalfi and you'll switch from one bus line to another.
Check the ferry schedule too--the port is a short walk from Salerno train/bus station and it's a heckuva way to arrive!

The ferry ride along there is fantastic
Ferry port in Amalfi is right at the bus lot
thanks for the feedback! Ferry sounds great to me
It can be a bit if a scrum to get on the buses, just get in line (as much as there is one) and be assertive.
Hi DRS,
If you'll be bringing suitcases then my following tip here won't apply. But during high season there are red 'City Sightseeing' company buses that one may take up to Ravello from that very same Amalfi bus depot/parking lot. That company only ever sells as many tickets as there are seats i.e. no overflow, no standing, no need to elbow your way on.
Thing is, they are as their title suggests, designed for daytrippers and other folks who've only brought backpacks.
Tante belle cose.
I am done. the bus
We took that Red HOHO bus up to Ravello after getting shoved out of bus line twice
It was a few euros more but only us and a family of 3 on board and super easy luggage storage
Also nice to sit up top in the open air
I’m not sure if that bus is still running there, I saw a comment recently that it has been discontinued
