Are there any alerts that have been issued for traveling in Italy and Spain through the end of March? I have plans to visit Rome, Sicily, Naples and Madrid during this time from the US. Given the events going on to the east, I wonder if anyone has guidance or suggestions about making such a journey. Thanks. Phil
I suggest signing up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) here:
Thanks. Helpful info and a very good idea.
Sign up but it's hard to take their travel advisories seriously. They still have level 4 "do not travel" warnings (their highest) in place for Spain and Italy due to terrorism and COVID.
The most dangerous part of any trip I take, by far, is the drive to Newark.
Just be careful with those alerts. I signed up 2 years ago, then covid hit, tried to unsubscribe and it took months and multiple attempts.

If you enter your travel dates, there is no need to unsubscribe.
Hah . I tried several times to subscribe after the recommendation, but failed. I think given the rest of what I've now read, it's just as well. Thanks.
It's like saying that you are not going to visit Vancouver in Canada because it's only 1,500 miles away from the Narco War in Mexico.
