I am considering grabbing some of the really discounted tickets from TRENITALIA. I realize I am sacrificing flexibility. The "super economy" has no exchange or refund. I am ok with this condition. If 'I' need to change plans, I am prepared to eat the cost of the ticket. My concern is how they deal with strikes. If some strike causes the train to be cancelled, is there still no exchange on the ticket? Thanks
Gary from Ottawa, Canada.
Full refund for reasons due to Trenitalia. Even if it's one hour or more late and you decide not to take it, you are entitled to a refund. The refund is not possible if it's exclusively due to your decision not to take that train. SOURCES:

That is what I was expecting. I looked on the english side of the site and did not see any info, but I figured someone on this forum would have experiance with it. I see the link you provided is Italian only. Another good use for google translate :) Thanks again
