Question about the Colosseum, underground and thrird ring

We are going to be in Rome October 11-14, I went to the website here

to buy tickets, but am a little confused by this statement "Opening Underground Reservation for October, November and December 2016
Tuesday, September 27, 2016 opening of bookings groups entrance for underground for the month of October 2016."

Does this mean that tickets for October do not go on sale until September 27? I think that's what it means, but it says "Groups" so am a little confused.

The tickets for October went on sale this past Sunday ( Sept. 18) I purchased them online that day for October 26 at 0600 Pacific time and there was limited times available. Good luck

Tickets for the underground went on sale on the 18th and most are gone now. You need to check your specific dates to see if any tours might still be available. If they are sold out you only have a few options. 1) pay 4-5 times more and go with a private tour company, 2) skip the underground tour until your next visit 3) take an alternate language tour of the underground. If you choose option 3 you'll need to do some research on the history of the structure so that you know what you're seeing while down there. You can do this by reading up on it, or by taking the regular tour of the colosseum earlier in the day and hearing the important information that way. The regular tour only costs 5 euros each so it won't break the bank.
