Question about customs in Milan

We are flying direct into Milan from the US and then taking a train to Turin. We were going to book the train early but do not have a feel of how long the customs lines are in that city. Anyone have experience with this? We did not want to book it just to miss it due to long lines.

It’s best to wait til you arrive and book your train then-you can use the app-or go to a look/window unless you are willing to lose the money if you miss a pre booked train

There is no way to predict how long Passport Control will take. Customs is nothing more than walk thru a door ”nothing to declare”

I didn’t look but guess there are trains to Turin all day so no worries about not getting there-you have to go from MXP to Milano Centrale
That trains runs every 30 min or so

ETA
There are fast trains almost every hour
