Question about Borghese Gallery tour in Rome

Is it worth taking the guided tour of the Borghese Gallery as offered on the ticketing website as opposed to just buying an entrance ticket? If anyone has take the guided tour, how long does it last and is it interesting?

We took it in 2023 and really enjoyed it. We did because only way to get time slot that would work but it worked out very well.

It lasts about as long as your slot does.

It is a great museum and the way they allocate spots makes it very enjoyable as it is not crowded.

I didn't take a tour, but loved my visit. I watched some videos and read about the works prior to going. It was a pain getting the tickets, but I wish more museums that are very popular would limit the number of visitors in this way.

You have a treat to look forward to.

We took it this past fall and had a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the art and I thought added a lot to the experience. She ended the tour with about 20 minutes left on our visit so we could go back and revisit parts of interest.

We did the guided tour and, as neither of us were ( or are) very knowledgeable about art, I think we would have really missed out had we not had a guide to explain and point specific things out to us. It was only about an hour or so.
