Purchasing tickets for Borghese Gallery

Check again in a week, I think they release tickets 60 days ahead.

And double check, triple check the dates of entry. Remember it is the European system - day, month, year. And if you click on a calendar some web site calendars start the week with Monday with Sat and Sun being the last two days of the week. So if you think you are selecting Thurs between it is three days from the end of the week you might actually be selecting Friday. We do a lot of things out of visual habit.

I have been watching the Borghese website as well to purchase tickets for early October. I checked again today and still only tickets available for August and September. I have sent an email asking when tickets for October will be available. No response yet.

Tickets are now available for October.

If they don't have the exact day and time you are looking for call again the day before you want to go. They often have cancelations and/or release more tickets.

The gallery doesn't know of cancellations until the actual time of entry and they NEVER add more tickets. This is a very strictly capacity controlled gallery. It sells the maximum number of tickets allowed by law for each 2 hour period. This is why there is a time limit for each set of tickets.

October is high season in Italy so book the gallery as soon as the tickets become available. It's not unusual for the gallery to sell out weeks in advance.

Okay....silly question time!! I am trying to purchase tickets for the Borghese Gallery for an October date on their website and I only see Italian and Spanish language options.....what am I doing wrong????

You're very welcome! I'm not sure what site was provided in the book but it likely could have been the one I've provided and you just overlooked the tab which translates it to English. Doesn't matter; it's working for you! :O)

Edit: this has been the ticketing site for quite awhile but the main page for the Borghese (as well as a few other museums serviced by this same ticketing outlet) was overhauled not long ago. It's possible that the website in the book - especially an older book - is an older version. Maybe this one: http://galleriaborghese.beniculturali.it?
