Purchasing bus tickets at Linate Airport

It’s looking like taking the busses would be our best and most economical way to get from Linate Airport to Milan Centrale Station. Does anybody know:

At Linate Airport - Where do you buy the tickets for the buses? Is there vending kiosks or do we go to a counter?

Because we will be taking the #73 and then transferring to #92. Do we need 2 separate bus tickets each?

Do you need to validate them? If so; before getting on the bus, or do you validate on the bus?

You can buy on the bus (called Airbus), at automatic kiosks, or shops displaying the ATM (the Milan bus agency) logo. It's €5 one way.

All other City buses cost €1.50 and are valid for 90 min after the first validation (date/time stamp) on the machine aboard the bus. You can take multiple buses during those 90 min but can be used only for one entry in the metro subway system.

I paid the bus driver 5 €. The bus leaves Linate every 30 minutes for Milan Centrale.

This is the bus everyone is referring to. It is very easy (pay the driver) and is direct to Milano Centrale with only one stop along the way. The cost of a cab from Linate to the station is about 20 euros. It is only slightly faster than this bus.

If you are traveling light, the bus is the way to go. With more luggage, take a cab. The only real advantage to a taxi is that it leaves immediately upon you climbing into it. You may have to wait up to 30 minutes for the next bus. I have used both and, other than waiting for the next bus, there is no real difference in the amount of time it takes to get to Milano Centrale.

Great news to hear about the "airbus". We will definitely take advantage of it. Coming in from a week a Cap d'agde, so much luggage Ha Ha. So we may not need a cab. When I was on the ATM website and the airbus didn't show up. It came up with the 73/92 bus combo. Thanks again for the help.
