Purchasing a music CD in ITaly

Will they work in my US manufactured computers? and CD players?

I haven't had any problems with the one I bought in Rome. I think the regional issues apply more to DVDs.

Liz is correct - CD's will work fine but DVD's and Video Games are on the PAL system and will not work in US players (unless you have a "dual" DVD player).

I find music CDs to be expensive in Italy. If you have specific artists you're thinking of buying, check Amazon.com which carries a very good selection of Italian CDs. I've purchased Eros Ramazzotti (a major Italian rock star) CDs on Amazon for about half what I'd pay for them in Italy.

Frank's advice is very good. CDs are indeed pricey in Italy. I've also had luck through tower.com. They carry some Italian CDs that even Amazon doesn't (like more Nek, one of my favorite singers).
