Purchase Roma Pass in Milan?

Hello,
We are taking our first trip to Italy this May. We are visiting a handful of cities. We want to buy Roma Passes but we are having a hard time figuring out the best place for us to pick them up. There are no sights or PITs or train stations that sell the pass near where we are staying. We will be arriving in Rome by train via Ostiense station to Tuscolana station, neither sell the pass. I did see on the Roma Pass site that they are sold at Trenitalia Ticket Offices in "Milano C.le". We are starting our trip in Milan so if they do sell the Roma Pass there it would be the best place for us to buy them.

Has anyone purchased their Roma Passes in Milan? Is there a special place we need to find in the train station or just look for the Trenitalia Ticket Offices? Will we be ok buying the Roma Pass about 6 days before we arrive in Rome?
Thank you for any advice!

There's no deadline to buy these. I think you just write in the date when you're ready for it to start. If you find the ticket office at Milano Centrale station to have a long line (not unusual), then I'd plan to buy it in Rome. In addition to the ticket offices and PITs listed, these are also sold at many newsstand/tabacs around the city and at the covered sites. So you can look for a tabac with Roma Pass logo at the stations you travel through.

If that also doesn't work, you can forgo some transport coverage and buy the pass when you get closer to your first day's sightseeing. You need not start use at the site where you buy it. For instance, when I visited http://en.mercatiditraiano.it/, there was no ticket-buying line, so it struck me as a good place to buy a Roma Pass. Or if your first visit to use the pass were at the Borghese Gallery, you must make the pass holder reservation by phone and then can buy the pass there with no extra line.
