Puglia recommendations needed

I will be traveling to Puglia this summer and need recommendations for a base. I will be taking day trips via drivers and will be staying in Lecce for three days and need another base ( south of Bari) on the water, close to restaurants, etc. areas that we can walk when we are not on tour.

Also, if anyone has recommended tours, drivers, etc. that would be appreciated.

How far south of Bari do you want to go? Otranto is on the coast, at the very bottom of the heel (south of Lecce). Big enough to have fun walking around, small enough to be relaxing.

Ostuni is another good base, a little closer to Bari, and very close to some popular hill towns like Locorotondo, Martina Franca, and others.
