Any one been to this southern region of Italy, what can we expect to see and do...traveling mid November to late November.
Specifically these 3 prior discussions of that: http://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/index.cfm?topic=27047 * * * http://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/index.cfm?topic=4496 * * * http://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/index.cfm?topic=4590 (see 2nd post) * * * and all of the rest of our discussions mentioning Puglia are at these Search results, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&as_q=puglia&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=10&lr=&as_filetype=&ft=i&as_sitesearch=www.ricksteves.com%2Fgraffiti%2Fhelpline%2F&as_qdr=all&as_rights=&as_occt=any&cr=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&safe=images#q=puglia+site:www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/&num=10&hl=en&lr=&newwindow=1&as_qdr=all&ei=f0iWTPXqKIrCsAOvkfy_Cg&start=0&sa=N&fp=d053a95c1a65e415, but for the last one ignore the 3 I've already given you above, and don't click on the shorter lines (they don't lead to threads anymore)
My gf lives in Trani which is right next to Bari. All the way down to Lecce in November it will be cool to cold...average can be anywhere from 48-50 degrees F...wouldn't reccommend swimming but it is basically tourist free and always beautiful year round...enjoy
Beautiful landscapes, great coastline, imaginative places. Bari is a big, industrial city but it has a beautiful "Old City". Orrechieti pasta ("little ears") comes from here. Lecce has great baroque/rococo architecture, Otranto has great artists/craftspeople (icons still being made), Alberobello is a town of unique whitewashed, cone-shaped houses (some of these are in the Old City in Bari as well).
