we traveled in Puglia in August 2007 and it was brutally hot so do not know what it is like in march. We stayed at an agriturismo in Conversano called Agriturismo Montepaolo. It was perfect for our family but may not be what you are looking for. We visited Alberobello, Martina Franca, and Ostuni among other places. The trulli in Alberobello are worth a visit because they are so unique but I most enjoyed the "white city" of Ostuni. We did not venture into Bari because of the heat but I understand the old section is quite interesting. What kinds of things are you interested in? leaving Puglia on our way back to Lazio we stopped for lunch in Matera. This is def a city I would have liked to spend more time. It is inBasilicata though and not Puglia.
