Puccini concerts in Lucca

We’ll be in Lucca on a Sunday and Monday in May. We’re interested in attending on of the short evening Puccini concerts. Has anyone done this? Would you recommend it?

It looks like I can book on an Opera Tickets Italy page for €30 or via Get Your Guide €32.52 with 24 hour cancellation. I’m leaning toward the option with the cancellation in case our plans change. If you’ve purchased tickets in advance, how have you done so?
Thanks!

Are these the ones you refer to?

They are the daily ones, not the once a week ones.
I’ve been to the daily version of the concerts 3 times and always walked up and bought tickets at the venue in the afternoon before the evening concerts.
There’s a desk just inside .
Last time was in 2019, and the ticket was E20 or so, I believe.

The venue is lovely, but it’s quite cool inside, being a former church!
Bring something warm to wear, just in case you feel the cold, like me.
The concerts were all pretty good, usually two singers and a piano player.
Different performers each night.
I really enjoyed each one I saw.

I went to a concert in 2022 in June. Bought tickets morning of. The concert was good but not very long. Two great singers and a pianist.

Went to it, enjoyed it, then got dinner afterwards. In all honesty it was a group of us that went, one of our party bought the tickets and we made up for it with meals and drinks.

It makes for a very nice evening to feel upscale or, glamorous without getting super dressed-up like an opera. Most everyone is in business casual, there was a few attendees in suits but, after looking around, they were on the over-dressed side. Wished I'd have brought some hard candy but, no biggie. Performance is about 90-min, then we all went out for a fun late dinner.
