Public Transportation Strike in November

I have heard that there will be a public transportation strike on November 9th in Milan. IS this this true, if so will it be for all of Italy or just Milan. I am worried as I plan on traveling to Italy around the time period of early to mid November.

Currently there is a planned November 9, 2008 strike. TrenItalia personnel will be on strike for 24 hours, starting 9 PM. Key routes will still be open.

Then continuing into November 10, ATAC personnel (bus/metro) go on strike in Rome for 24 hours... I'm not sure if either will happen, or if they will go a full 24 hours. The 10th is a Monday so AM rush hour in Rome will be interesting! Last strike by ATAC ended about 2 PM in the afternoon. Here's a link:
