public transportation from Paestum to Stella Cilento

It appears that there is no Trenitalia train station in Stella Cilento. The closest I can find is Vallo Della Lucania which is about 9km from Stella-Cilento. The train is a Regionale-type train so no reservations are permitted. You buy your ticket, validate it and get on. You can stand if no seats. It's a 21min ride from Paestum. From there, you could probably take a taxi. I was unable to find information on a bus service between the two locations.

Lori, if you are staying in Paestum, contact your hotel, they may be able to advise you on the best way to get to Stella Cilento. Last year I stayed at Poseidonia al Mare (great comfort and service) and pne of the owners offered to go to the travel agency in the next town to get train tickets for me. If there is a privately-owned train serving Stella Cilento, it won't appear on the Trenitalia schedule.

The train station closest to Stella Cilento is Omignano-Salento.
Per viamichelin.com, the station is only a 10-15 minute drive from Stella Cilento.
