Public Transport Options from Positano to Florence

Hi, I have booked the train from Rome to Naples in mid June, staying overnight in Naples and boarding the ferry to Positano directly the next morning. For the next leg, it will be travelling out of Positano to Florence. But I am thinking if I should travel from Positano to Salerno by ferry and then train from Salerno to Florence. I read mixed reviews on the punctuality/cancellations of ferries. Would there be an issue with this?

Could there be? It's a possibility but no way to predict in advance. The ferries do not operate when rough sea conditions/high winds makes it unsafe to do so, and Positano's smaller dock has historically been more susceptible than others to weather-related closures. Your Plan B would be either SITA bus or private driver to Salerno.
