We did this with Alessandro in 2018, and my husband wants to do it again when we're in Venice next May.

Oh that is a bummer.
We did the cicchetti tour with Alessandro in 2017- so much fun.
I do remember him hinting then that he was ready to retire so I guess it happened, I hope that's what happened.
Maybe take a look at Walks of Italy Venice food tours, I don't see Eating Europe in Venice. Too bad those are great tours.

We met up with Elena Zampiron for a cichetti tour this past July. Then last week I met up with her and with my sister for a cooking class at her apartment in Venice after we shopped at the Rialto market. She is a Rick Steve’s guide and lives in Venice. She can do any kind of tour that you want. She is an absolutely delightful person that I now consider a friend. I highly recommend her!
