We are thinking of a day trip to Procida from Naples in early September.
If you have any good tips about the island: where to go, what to eat, are shops closed for the afternoons on certain days; or anything else you'd like to share, I would be happy to hear about it.
Thankyou!
No one has been there?! :O
I'll bump this up and try again.
We spent Easter weekend there a few years ago. It is charming but with no particular big sights. We ate well, and cheaply, and wandered the island. In particular we liked the walk up to Terra Murata and the abbey. Info here on the website Italy Heaven. We used only buses and feet to get around and it was easy. Very cute fishing village, great seafood, not often traveled by non Europeans, quiet, relaxing, breath of fresh air in this busy area. Well worth an overnight.
Thank you!
We went to Ischia a few years ago and loved it, so thought to try Procida this visit.
I loved Procida.
I did 2 nites - Airbnb.
Lovely people. Lovely island.
Not to be rushed through. Walk slowly and inhale.
Walked the entire island - side streets, coastline, etc.
One of my fondest memories from my Naples/Procida/Amalfi trip.
