We booked our train travel on Trenitalia in Italy. Some of our tickets are not available to us online. Does a PDF of the bar code work as your ticket on the train? Should we take a paper copy with us? Has anyone experienced this issue?

I’ve always used a PDF on my phone and never had a problem. I’d also suggest using the Trenitalia app vs. the website.

Download the Trenitalia app. You can enter the ticket # in the app, and it will show up. Or, you can bring a paper print out. It should have a QR code on it.
