I'm trying to reserve tickets through Ticketeria's online call back option. We will be using the Roma Pass when we get there, so I want to make reservations, not buy tickets. I enter my landline home phone number in Ticketeria, but I get an error message saying to enter a valid phone number. Even though I know the website says no mobile phone numbers, I tested my cell phone number, and it does immediately call that number (but hangs up). Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions? Thanks.
You don't say when you will be in Rome.
I was there 2 weeks ago, and my hotel got me a reservation on Saturday morning for the next day. It seemed to be a standard service that hotels provide. They also sold the Roma Pass, though only for cash.
Try emailing your hotel with a date and approximate time.
We will be in Rome end of March/beginning of April. I'll try contacting the place we are staying. Thanks. I am still curious if anyone knows what the problem with the call back is.
I have used it with my home phone without problems. If you are using a cell phone when the site says not to that is probably the problem. Try using a different number.

I did try the landline number first, and it didn't accept it. I used the cell phone number just to check if I was entering the number in the correct format (area code + 7 digits), and it did call the cell phone.
Do you have your hotel reservation yet? If so have your hotel do it. Email your hotel and tell them the date and the time you want to go and also tell them you are using a Roma Pass and you only need a reservation. They will respond with a reservation code. Print the email and take it with you to the museum.
You probably need to enter the international code first, then the number, 001 or +1 then the area code and number.
The international code is automatically entered by the website after you select your country of origin. I tested the format of the phone number with my cell number, and got the call back.
To follow up:
I contacted our lodging in Rome, but it's a no-frills, former convent place, so I was not surprised not to get a response back after a few days. I wanted to get the reservations sooner rather than later, so I emailed Ticketeria (the ticketing service used by the Borghese Gallery), and they emailed me a reservation code without me having to call. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
