Private Transfer/Taxi from Naples to Puglia

Hello, can anyone recommend a private car company from Naples Airport to Polignano di Mare?
We don't want to take the train or bus from Caserta to Bari.
Our hotel in Polignano di Mare quoted a crazy price for private car (800euro), so I'm thinking it may be cheaper to hire from origin.
We were hoping to get something around $3-400 euro.
I've gone down the rabbit hole on google and other travel blog sites, and can't find drivers for this area specifically.
Thank-you in advance.

You can just google “transfer Naples to Polignano al Mare” and get results like this one:

https://mydaytrip.com/landing/naples-to-polignano-a-mare

They say €570.

I suspect that is the going rate and others will be similar. And reasonable, considering that it will take all day for the driver to take you over and then drive back home to Naples.

What is it about the train that you don’t like? Would you consider the fast Frecce train to Rome and then another from there to Bari?

I've always sort of assumed that hotel recommendations in situations like this are often not the least expensive option, but I'm not sure a third-party website like MyDaytrip.com (Daytrip) will do any better on the price; it obviously gets a cut of what you pay.

ViaMichelin.com estimates the one-way driving time at almost 3-1/2 hours and says there will be over 20 euros in road tolls.

Thank-you for your response. I contacted mydaytrip.com and waiting for their reply.
We land in Naples from international flight and just want to get to Puglia, and in comfort.
Train is okay, but lots of moving parts when just landing from an international flight, so hoping someone could recommend a driver they used in the past.

We went to Puglia in late February. We flew into Rome (from Seattle, with a change of planes in London). We decided to spend the night there to get a good night’s sleep before taking the train to Bari the following day. That worked really well.

You might consider doing something similar, but spending the night in Caserta. It is 23 miles from the airport, a 30-minute taxi ride straight to your hotel. The town has nice hotels and restaurants, and the royal palace is well worth a visit, or just walk through the park to refresh after the flight.

The train from Caserta to Bari takes 3 hours. Change there to the regional train to Polignano, a short ride away.
