Private tours of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel at night

I am inquiring regarding private tours of the Vatican etc. I have been to the Vatican twice and I was hoping visit this time accompanied by a private tour guide. I have read about the museum being open after the official closing but cannot find the information. Thanks!

Were you referring to this:

The Vatican has night openings through the end of this month. You can book a tour if you wish or just do it yourself. These are only done on Friday nights.

If you want a semi-private tour in the mornings the Vatican offers an early morning tour with breakfast.

The group is very small, no more than 10 people.

I apologize, nurseanne1, for referring you to Viator. I would not pay $400/person for a private tour of the Vatican.

You can always put "Vatican tours" in your search engine should the sites Donna gave you not pan out.

Ciao!

We did a Friday night tour of the Vatican museum this past spring. It was the best thing we did. Book the earliest entry, currently 1930 on their website. We had around 150 in our group and practically had the place to ourselves. We went first to the Sistine Chapel and were in there with only 12 others. We had downloaded Rick's narrative of the ceiling panels onto our Kindle Fire. It was stunning to just sit there for an hour and marvel at each panel as Rick went through each one. When we went there this spring, there were only two groups, ours at 1900 and another group of around 200 at 2100. We stayed and enjoyed the entire museum for nearly four hours with maybe only 400 others spread throughout the place. I see now groups are allowed every 30 minutes. No matter. It will still be minimal crowds, unlike anything you might experience during the day. You can easily do it yourself for the entry price of around 16 Euros and a free download from Rick. Do some homework before you go to learn what might interest you the most, besides the Sistine Chapel. Don't delay as the tickets go quickly.

We are going to be there in July and really interested in the night tour. What Friday night tour is best? I searched online and several pop up. Is there a link someone can send me to book? thanks
