Going to be in Rome the week between Christmas and New Year's with our 7 year old. In order to keep him engaged we were leaning toward scheduling a couple of private tours while we are there, most likely for ancient Rome and the Vatican. Any suggestions for companies? I have researched Context Travel but wanted to see if there are any other options before I book. TIA!

Rick Steves guidebooks will have suggestions on tour guides. We hired Francesca Caruso from his guidebook. She also authors his guidebooks. She was an phenomenal guide.

We have used Walks of Italy for their tour of the Vatican Museums and they were excellent.
Our neighbors hired Alessio Vicari and had him as their private tour guide for two days through Rome - they were so impressed ! You can find him on Facebook to reach out to him.
