I have a group of 4 traveling to northern Italy in early October. WE have been to Italy many times but never to Ravenna or Bologna. We would like a private tour in each city. Do you have recommended guides for either place. Thank you

We were 4 people traveling together in Bologna, we found a FREE city tour that was amazing. Group size was just about 10 people total. The guide was excellent. We tipped well at the end.

Free walking tours in Italy are always on the verge of illegality. Often not authorized guides and pay only by tips means tax cheating (in Italy tips are not an Italian behavior).
Said that, in Ravenna there is a very good group of guides who create a little cooperative called Il Papavero: https://www.guide-ravenna.com/ . They do tours (mostly tailor made or on request) in Ravenna but even in other parts of Romagna and Modena.
