Our beloved tour guide that we've used for years has moved back to Australia!! Can anyone recommend a private tour guide for Tuscany in early October for myself, husband and daughter who will be studying in Florence? We are looking to book a full day tour and are open to where. It's more about the person and experience than the place, as this is our 3rd trip to Tuscany.
Can you contact your former tour guide for a recommendation? That's where I'd start in your situation.
Yes, I did. I'm hoping the forum will be kind enough to share their recommendations.
I can personally recommend Alessandro Cammilli Wine Tours. Check out reviews and Facebook - https://alessandrocammilli.wordpress.com/. We have some friends that have gone to Florence every year for the past 12 years. The use "Ale" on every trip.
Very personable and knowledgeable about the area. He's been in business over 20 years. I cannot say enough good things about him. If you have any questions email me - [email protected]
Thank you so much for your kind reply! I appreciate you sharing your recommendation and I will be reaching out to Ale.
We did an all day tour with Tours by Roberto (recommended by Rick Steves) a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Roberto appears in several of Rick's Tuscany videos.
Thank you! Do you have a contact for Roberto?
Adding our vote for Roberto!

Thank you for Roberto's contact information!
We took this tour last year. Todd was a great host. It was interesting to get the perspective of an American who has been living in Italy for the past 15+ years.
Thank you for the recommendation! Much appreciated.
You can't go wrong with Fabrizio, the owner of Ciao Fabry Tours (https://www.fontemartino.com/). He is completely amazing and you will have the time of your life with non-stop laughter. I was skeptical on uing a tour guide, but gave in to the group I was travelling with. I am so happy I did. He knows so many fantastic places that only a local would know.
Hope this helps! -TJ
