Is it possible to have a private audience with Pope? If so, what is the way to do so? I could only find information on general Wednesday audience.This may very well be the only option. Thanks for any information.
No problem, just send him a tweet and ask for a time. He is a man of all the people.
If that doesn't do the trick, you might prepare to enter the primaries for the 2016 US presidential election. If you win it all, you can probably wrangle an invitation that way.
(:->))))
I think you would have to have connections to very important people. I don't believe it's anything you can just call up the Vatican and request. Tickets for the Wednesday audience can be hard to come by, as far as I know, so I would focus on that.
Anything other than the weekly audience on Wednesday would be rare....but the Pope does have masses and "private" audiences, meaning a group setting. I did see someplace that the procedure starts with your Parish Priest and the submittal of a letter attesting to your faith and being a follower in good standing. Of course the higher up you can get support (Bishop, Archbishop, maybe even Cardinal) the better, this is then submitted to the Papal Secretary long in advance of any desired dates. Still, what you will likely get or be shuffled to is the Wednesday Audience. Given the process, it may be easier to be elected the head of state of some country and make your request based on that.
The best way to get information on papal audiences is the Santa Susanna website. The tickets are always free. But as another contributer replied, going through your parish priest is the best way as. When we were in Rome (2 popes ago), we had great seats close to the pope at an outdoor audience (It was the week of Mother Teresa's beatification which is why it was held outside and it was very crowded)and that is how we were able to be so close.
