Private Guides In Rome

My family and I (wife, daughter and her boyfriend, daughter's boyfriend-not the wife's!) ) will be visiting Rome for a day as part of a shore excursion while cruising the Mediterranean.

I like to arrange a private guided tour for the day. I've seen other posts under this topic but they seem to be several years old. I'd like to see if anyone has utilized a guide in the not so distant past. I've already emailed Francesca, who is highly recommended on this board.... but unfortunately, she is already booked for that day. She provided me with a list of her colleagues. Has anyone hired any of her colleagues?

I'll listen to any advice offered!

Thank You,
Scott

Scott, my family did a tour with one of Francesca's colleagues two years ago, name is now list to history, but any of Francesca's recommendations would be good.

Sara Magister, a Roman who knows Rome.
Google her.

Francesca does many of the tours for RS groups in Rome, as well as offering private tours. If she recommends a group of colleagues, I'd go with her advice and feel comfortable picking one of them.

Thanks to each of you who responded, I do appreciate your time and willingness to help a fellow traveler!

I think I'm going to go the route of using one of Francesca's colleagues!

Thanks!

I agree with the others. Anyone that Francesca recommends will be a fantastic guide.
