Private guide for Uffizi gallery?

We already booked tickets for 1645 in the afternoon for the Uffizi gallery and were thinking we would be better served by a guide than doing it ourselves. Family of four. Anyone have any suggestions? We found some websites were extremely expensive for a "private" tour and included activities we were not interested in and tickets which we already purchased.

The idea for the guide is to show our 15 year old more of the history of the art as he is vey artistic and to keep our family from Just "plugging in" and not interacting during the tour compared to an audio tour.

Thanks in advance.

I know what you mean - we have a great guy in Paris. Unless you have an art degree - a good guide makes all the difference in the enjoy-ability of a museum

You might check Craigslist Florence

This company says it will customize

You could email your hotel & see if they have a recommendation
