Private drivers in Florence for day trips?

For our trip to Italy we were initially planning on spending a couple nights in Chianti to explore Tuscany. We're reconsidering this idea and are wondering what our options are for getting out to Greve-in-Chianti for a day trip, other than the bus. Does anyone have private driver recommendations (that can take 3-5 people)? Or a recommendation for renting a car for one day only? We're finding AutoEurope.com to be steep for a single day.
Thanks!

I am currently in negotiations with a company that Oprah recommended in her magazine called Access Italy. You can google them and find their brochure and then send them an email. They are not cheap, but they do private transfers and tours.

Usually the hotel can arrange this, but as mentioned, it is not cheap! I have heard in the hundreds of euros for a half day...

We met the proprietor of the Enoteca Pontevecchio when we did a wine tasting in his store, and he set us up with a tour guide (private driver) to take us to Greve in Chianti. On the way, we stopped at the "fake" David on the other side of the Arno, then to a WWII cemetery for American soldiers, then to the Greve in Chianti...did some sausage and cheese tasting, and then went to wine/olive oil tasting heaven to the most incredible place (you must have heard about it). Then we visited a vineyard and sat down with the owner for a wine tasting...it was a great day! Tony is the owner of Enoteca Pontevecchio, Max was our very handsome Italian tour guide...they also have great restaurant recommendations off the beaten path. enjoy!

what was the cost of the tour? How long in advance did you have to book?
