Any suggestions for a private driver and/or company to drive family members from Florence to Rome/Fiumicino? They’re looking at options, I have suggested train as best.

I'd also suggest the train. Paying someone to drive you from Florence to Rome will not be cheap. And will take over twice as long as the train.

No suggestions, but for a sedan fitting 3, maybe 4 people, you are talking in the range of 500 euro. RomeCabs, often recommended on here quotes 650 euros for 4.

Are they trying to get from Florence to FCO the day of the flight? If so, what time is the flight?
"Estimated" drive time is 3.5 to 4.5 hrs. (per googlemaps) It's about 200 miles
The Romecabs rate Paul mention assumes a 'daytime' departure.
NIGHT TIME services provided 7 PM - 7 AM are 100 EUROS EXTRA ( romecabs website)

We are using the company https://www.milesandmiles.net/ from the guidebook for our transfer from Rome to Florence. It is more costly than the train, however they are making a stop in Orvieto for a few hours for us to visit the town on the way.
