Hello,
I am looking to hire a private driver to pick my husband and I up at the Napoli train station and take us to our hotel in Positano. We are staying in Positano 3 nights, then we will need to be driven to our next hotel in Amalfi. Once finished there we need a ride back to the Napoli train station.
Can any provide a reliable recommendation?

We used angelodriver.com a few years ago for exactly these purposes (airport pickup and Amalfi coast drive). Worked perfectly -- charming and professional.
Along the Amalfi coast, the driver stopped at a restaurant for lunch -- can't remember the name -- but I will always remember that view! Seriously to die for. You will have a wonderful trip.

I'd normally suggest Monetti Taxi but their website doesn't seem to be working today. Perhaps they're doing maintenance on the site, so you could check a bit later.

Thank you, Kathy. I've been unable to find any contact info for Monetti Taxi, I can only find reviews (which are fantastic) on Rick Steve's and Trip advisors sites.
Just a comment that when we stayed at a (very large) hotel in Sorrento, we figured their land-partner would have a huge incentive to please the hotel's customers. So we booked with the concierge, and the car was charged to our hotel account. I will say that the land-tourism company was so large that our first driver told us that we could not "ask for him" for our transfer to the Naples train station at the end of our stay.
I would observe that it might be MUCH cheaper to use a Positano or Amalfi company for the inter-hotel transfer. Your driver might have to spend two hours with an empty car if he comes from (for example) big, busy Sorrento or Salerno to drive you between Positano and Amalfi.
It's wise to ascertain from each hotel just how close an auto can get to their property, in those towns! I hear some hotels in Positano dispatch Hill Porters.

I used them in October 2017 for a day trip from Sorrento the Amalfi Coast - the drive was wonderful.
For the trip from Naples airport to our AirBnB in Sorreno, we used nunziocesarano77@gmail.com, he was recommended by our apartment owner and was also very good, even arranged a stopover in Pompeii on the way back to Naples.
