It has been 10 years, but we used Joe Bananas Limo to book private shore excursions from Livorno and Naples. I recall that they were very good. I believe that they charged based upon the size of vehicle. For example, the cost of a van was the same whether you had one passenger or six. You can try to set up your own group (cruisecritic.com has "roll call" forum to help you contact other passengers on your same cruise) or ask Joe Bananas to do it for you if you want to save a few dollars.
