I will be going to Italy at the end of September and I want to visit the towns that my grandparents were from. I am wondering how do I find a reputable private driver for two separate day trips?
I need to leave from Venice and go to Vodo di Cadore ( Grandmother’s town) in Dolomites. I believe it is about an hour and 45 minute drive,
I also need to go from Rome to Alatri (grandfather’s hometown) - 1 & 1/2 hrs.

Have you thought about renting a car? We tend to take a train or bus as far as we can, then pick up a rental car to tour the countryside or smaller cities. For a trip this fall, we will pick up a car in Bolzano and return at the Venice train station as we come into the Venice portion of our trip.
Have you looked for driver recommendations in the RS guide?
My husband will not rent a car the due to a bad experience in another country.
I will look again on RS site for recommended drivers.
