Private Car to Varenna

Hi Stefano, if for some reason you don't end up arranging a private car, my husband and I took a train from Milan to Varenna, and then back to Milan to fly back to the states - went great.

Do what you want, but it’s a simple matter to take transit or even a cab to Como and hop on a ferry to Varenna. Probably prettier than driving via Lecco (fastest route). Heck, you could even splurge on a water taxi from Como and come out ahead financially

I would check with your hotel. I see 200 euros doing a random search online.

I have made a reservation with Transfer Varenna and have been quoted 220 Euro for two people.

I like the fact that I don't need to pay in advance, so if they don't turn up I will simply catch the train, rather than having to be worried about getting my money back.
