My husband and I will be staying in Bellano in May for 3 nights then to Cernobbio for 2 nights. I am planning on hiring a private boat charter to take us to Villa d'este. Since I want to see Villa Oleandra while I'm in the lakes area, I figured I could kill 2 birds with one stone. This would also leave our entire day free in Cernobbio vs a boat tour while in Cernobbio. What other activities are there in Cernobbio? The hotel offers a bike ride (husband likes biking-i wouldn't go). Also, can anyone recommend a restaurant or two in Cernobbio? A nice setting would be great, but my emphasis would be on food. Any comments on Materia? I'm open to high or low priced meals, as long as it's delicious.
